There is something quite special about experiencing your home country as an adult. Chances are you see beauty in everything. You have this strong sense of belonging & responsibility that develops when you look at your home country through the lenses of someone who longs to be impactful in the society that shaped them.
This is how Kuvaka's journey started...
Driving along Bvumba road on my way to Vumba, I did a quick stop at the Prince of Wales View Point (Try not to be distracted by the name & stay with me) , it was at this place I had a conversation with two men who were making beautiful ornaments made out of stone. They patiently explained to me the process & how much their business means to them in terms of supporting their families etc.
My empathy radar was being set off whilst listening to their stories. It dawned on me, I can help Kuvaka the lives of those back home by supporting their business & in turn building self sustaining societies .
That is the dream for Kuvaka.
Building communities and creating beautiful spaces
